Seabird Resort Holiday Art Walk Event Alert!

This is an event alert! This is going to be a lovely evening of Art, Crafters, Music, and Gifts with lots of mingling thrown in!

The Seabird is a gorgeous Hotel/Resort right at the Pier in Oceanside. It will be decked out for the holidays and the Oceanside Art Walk is blessed to have the opportunity to showcase all the artists and their goods for one evening on Thursday, December 4th.

Even if you have already finished your holiday shopping by then, the venue is charming, there is a bar/lounge/restaurant you may want to visit, and it's by the ocean. (salt therapy)

Happy Fall, Y'all and All the Seasonal Things

Happy Fall, Beautiful Friends!

Can you believe it is October already? Me either. We are three days into #inktober and I haven't picked up a pen! Ugh! If you are a doodler, illustrator, or anyone who would like to participate in a fun daily creative challenge, check it out here or find the hashtag on Instagram to see what everyone is drawing!

Now that we are home from our last trip of the year, (Brazil was fantastic, BTW) I can start to buckle down for the holidays. I know it may seem early, but it is, after all, Halloweemas. (If you haven't heard me use that term before, it is a combination of Halloween and Christmas popping up together in every store this time of year.)

Also, if you craft, quilt, or sew holiday projects, you will want to start grabbing your fabric yards, swatches, and the like and get to it! Keep your eyes peeled for those SALES to start popping up as we get closer to Christmas. I have several new Harvest themed designs like these:

Happy Summer and a Fabric Stock-Up Sale!

I hope you are staying cool and enjoying time with your people this season.

Summer is for fun, but also for planning end-of-the-year things, like back-to-school, Halloween, and dare I say it...the Holidays!

I know a lot of makers are setting their sights on holiday crafting. Handmade gifts seem essential in these times and everybody loves homemade Halloween Costumes, am I right? I made a lot of my son's Halloween costumes when he was little. He was a ghost, Peter Pan, a bear, all which I made with crafting supplies. Have you ever made a costume for your little one or yourself? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below. :)
