The Process - Creating Symphony, an Abstract Floral

Hi Friends!

Ever wonder what goes on in my studio?
Here is a very short clip of the very beginnings of a painting. In the video, you will see me laying down the very first layers, otherwise known as the underpainting, or base coat.

The scratching sound you hear is a technique called scumbling or dry brushing. Kinda fun, right?

The finished piece is called Symphony. She is a 24"x24" abstract floral in Acrylic on wrapped canvas, featuring hydrangeas, poppies, and lots of wild flowers and greenery. Now available in my Etsy shop

Peace, Love, and Creativity,
Jodi
